As part of the Concept & UX Design team, the UX UI designer helps design the external and internal channels of the bank (web and advisors’ tools).
He/she is responsible for turning concepts and ideas into high quality customer journeys with screens and components that are visually appealing and highly user friendly.
To achieve this, he/she takes customer experience, user, business & legal needs and technical feasibility into account. As a consequence, alignment with different stakeholders is a must in this role.
As to guarantee maximum consistency for the end user and an efficient development process, any UX UI designer within our organization maximizes the use of existing components from the BNP Paribas Fortis design system. In close collaboration with our UX UI Community of Practice, any designer at BNP PF can also contribute to our design system.
Although final copy is not the end responsibility of the UX UI designer, all UX UI designers at BNP Paribas Fortis understand that copy is a fundamental part of the user experience and as a consequence pay a lot of attention to the message they want to convey throughout a customer journey.
For many projects the UX UI designer works in ‘tandem’ with a concept designer.
All UX UI designers at BNP Paribas Fortis also work closely with the product owner, the business analyst, the development team, the design system lead and other members (eg UX researchers, copywriters, other designers, management, business owners …) of the Channels tribe. Depending on the project, contacts with collaborators of other tribes may be needed as well.
