Mission context: Data Engineer Senior
The mission is to support our digital and hoc solutions for Corporate Banking end users (Sales, metiers, management, …). The aim is to improve our ways of processing huge datasets by the automation of manual ad hoc queries and optimizing our ETL workflows upfront when necessary.
Function description:
He/she will mainly have to handle Alteryx modules in order to automate flows and be able to understand and manage SAS Base current queries in order to translate them in new solutions / reports. A previous similar experience within banking sector will be a real asset !
- Data extraction & transformation8, structuring of data using a mix of SAS Base, SQL, Alteryx/ETL
- Hands-on with data Processing / Batches and optimal Sequencing
- Notions of final visualization solutions & Javascript-dashboarding
- Active insight in the data architecture
- Contribution to the preparation of the installation in production
- Support in the execution of tests (including bug fixing)
- Quality review
- Documentation
Although the Data engineer is expected to work independantly, he/she will have to collaborate closely with the other Data Engineers for the delivery of solid, industrialised and governed final data structures, guaranteeing traceability, consistency and monitoring.
Language requirements:
Dutch Yes (or French)
French Yes (or Dutch)
English Sound knowledge of English as well as (at least) one local language
Education:
Master in computer sciences or equivalent experience
Strong hands-on knowledge of ETL techniques : from extraction to files & dashboard deliveries
Good knowledge of relational databases including SQL Server and analytics database like Teradata, Sybase IQ, …
Good knowledge in Alteryx or SAS BASE (or able to learn it quickly)
Notions in data visualization solutions and techniques
Certification – Good understanding on technical infrastructure & IT architecture

Required experience / knowledge At least < 3 > years of relevant experience
Technical experience – mandatory:
SQL, ETL tools and Dashboarding
Knowledge of concerned programming language(s), techniques, good practices and standards
Business experience – preferable:
Experience with banking companies or other financial institutions
Practical experience with Agile method
